This stained glass suncatcher features a unique and beautiful honeycomb design, and includes a 3D bee that can be repositioned on the honeycomb. All 14 pieces of the honeycomb are a different type of glass, meaning there’s a large variety of yellows, ambers, and even clear glass. There’s also many different textures. The honey drip on the bottom is only soldered on one side to give it more of a flowy feel. The bee uses smooth glass on the body, and has textured wings. Its wings are attached at a slight angle to the body, giving it a 3D effect. The entire piece measures roughly 11.25 inches by 10.5 inches.
Because I’m always using different glass, and glass varies slightly between sheets, every suncatcher is one-of-a-kind. What you see in the picture is what you will receive.
I do my best to exclusively use high quality glass from manufactures like Oceanside, Spectrum, Youghiogheny, Uroboros, Wissmach, Kokomo, and Bullseye. There are some exceptions, though. As an example, most textured clear glass isn’t made anymore, so I can’t fully know where it came from.
